My DS is 11, and has been playing club rugby since 7. He started in tag and moved up gradually to this year in under 11s when he has been in full contact, uncontested scrums.
He is very prone to injury and gets very angry with other players or refs if he feels they are not playing fair (although not to them directly, rants at me instead).
He had two minor concussions at the start of the season, both to the back of his head, three weeks apart.
He then had another concussion on Sunday where he was knocked out for 15-20 seconds, before being immobilised and taken to A&E by ambulance. He was given the all clear but is still off school today as he is very tired, emotional and not feeling right. I am taking him to the GP later today, he doesnt have a headache or vomiting. I have done the Headcase training and rugby first aid, so I know what to look for.
But, WWYD, he wants to go back next season. He loves the club and his friends, as do I. How serious does it need to get before I say enough is enough?
Any advice welcome
Thanks
