On my walk home from work today I had an encounter with some school children. Three looked about 12ish and one that looked a little younger. I walked passed them and a minute later they rode past me and one of them slapped my bum! I was very shocked because they were so young and they were riding quite fast (on bikes) so I didn't react in time. A few minutes later they came from behind me again and the first one did it again followed by his friend. I yelled at them to scram as I was calling the police. They scattered and I didn't see them again.
I told my OH when I got home and he thinks I should report to the local community support officers to see if they can identify them and scare them into not repeating the behaviour to someone else. However would it be wasting their time?
The younger one had a school jumper on, but I don't recognise the school, although he had quite a distinctive look so if the police/support officers recognised he uniform I am sure they could find the boy. He older ones where in school trousers and shirts so I can't tell the school, no jumpers or Blazers and ties.
Obviously it was not overly serious and I have very little information on them. I am however concerned that if they think this is ok at their ages it could get worse (or is that being silly?).
Should I report? Would you?
