Potentially New Blogger Needs Advice

Hi All

I've been wanting to start a blog for a long time, I'm a stay at home mam and need to find an outlet to keep myself from going totally insane.

I wanted to write about products I've bought, tried and tested, film reviews, my love for crochet, baking, arts and crafts... Also have recently just got married and thought it be a nice thing to do, to look back on our first year of marriage next year etc.

But I'm stuck for name ideas, because of wanting to blog about all of the above, not sure what to name it

My advice would be to use a name that isn't to NOW in your life, cause you might find that you really love blogging but that your focus changes. When I started blogging, I wrote about my life as an expat in Switzerland, but then I started writing about all sorts of other stuff, and the old name didn't fit anymore.

Think about what you want to express, what you like, how specific you want the blog to be. And don't make it too complicated, cause readers have to be able to remember your blog, and if you call it FlumplicioiusFabulousFantasticFluffyFings, then no one will be able to do so!

Just saw your other thread. My advice - don't share your kids, and your family name online if you've already had social services involvement in your lives.

You can blog anonymously, and only take pics of the kids from behind, or just their feet or hands.

Choose a neutral name that doesn't give away your name or location, and don't share pics that make your house or street recognisable.

I would actually advice that anyway, but in your case, I'd be extra cautious.
