It's for a meal to celebrate a marriage that has already taken place.
We would love you to join us for a meal to celebrate our marriage
Or
We would love your company for the evening to celebrate our marriage (but this sounds like a party and it's just a small meal!)
Which would read/sound better do you think?

I like the first. It's clear and simple, and heartfelt. I think that's more important than some formal wording.

Love for you?

Thanks for the advice, I'll stick with the first then as I would rather it sound heartfelt and simple. Will change it to love for you.... Thanks very much.
