DS's birthday outing in few weeks to UK attraction. We taking 3 of his friends. Paid for upgraded experience so DH says but have read on here that gift shop v v expensive. DS will take his own money to buy something if he wants to. How would you phrase text to other mums saying kids get a souvenir booklet and lunch but will need to take some cash for gift shop purchases?

I would say, we are planning on going to the gift shop so they might want to bring some pocket money.

Confirmation text saying we're supplying/buying lunch and we'll get them souvenir booklet, then we'll go out via the gift shop so if they want to get an extra souvenir, they might want to save up their pocket money or hang on to some Christmas cash.

You will love it have a great time. The gift shop is expensive but there are cheaper items there. Don't pay for photos on the broomstick ride, just enjoy experience on the screen, then take pics on the car and hagrid's motorbike which is just after that section. The Butterbeer is vile BUT it's worth getting just for the cup. We loved it - so much detail. Enjoy!
