How do you give a christmas tip to the bin men

If I want to give the bin men a Christmas tip/gift, other than running out when they arrive, which is pretty unpractical as I can't wait in all day, is there another way it can be done?

When they used to come to the house to collect the bin then I would leave the money inside a card-in-an-envelope, sellotaped to the bin. Now that I have to do the work - i.e. take the wheelie bin down to the kerbside - I don't tip any more.

Lots of people leave beer/whisky etc. behind the bin.

DS will run out and give them a tin of chocs/biscuits/whatever I buy.

If he doesn't then they will knock on the door because they always buy a selection box or similar for DS.
