How do i hide a post I made on a group from my news feed?

Hi, I belong to a closed group which is for parents dealing with sick children. I have posted a question on the group wall but it is coming up on my news feed, so all my friends can see it. How can I stop this? It was asking for medical advice, so not really of interest to anyone in my news feed. I've gone into manage groups but all I can see is the option to turn off notifications. I just want to make my post visible to only the group members.

Any ideas please?

Just because it is coming up on your news feed doesn't mean it's coming up on everyone else's.

If it's a closed group then only the people in the group should be able to see it. Is there any chance you posted to your own news feed rather than the group's?
Could you do that thing were you view your profile as someone else and see whether they can see your post?

Ah I think I'm just being stupid. You're right, it comes up in my news feed but not everyone else's! Doh!
