THE meeting place for those smitten with Benedict Cumberbatch. As one of the members put it: Hump, limp and bad wig - but we'd still hit it.

Pile on in, there's always room for one more!

Maybe it is all a weird performance art thing? (grasping at even more straws)

HRHsherlockssextoy · 07/01/2015 09:14

Yes lady k is who is meant.

That Monaco thing was weird when she walked behind him. But she posted photos from there and she was at the Windsor castle thing.

I don't think it's a publicity thing this relationship, time will tell. But it's weird as hell.
The airport pics are the first time they have been pictures together in a pap way.
Even those restaurant pics they weren't together. It's all strange. And who's idea is it? And why would you agree to it all?

If he was mine I'd be delighted to show him off and be with him.

ColinFirthsGirth · 07/01/2015 09:42

Yes HRH I would be too and I think a fair amount of women would also be delighted.

It certainly is weird. I can't work it out at all. I wouldn't be surprised if she is pregnant.

However I think it would be sad if he has proposed just because he thinks it is the right thing to do. I think any child deserves their parents to be in love if they are together and married and I still am not getting any love vibe off them at all. This is pure conjecture obviously.

I think like Green I have read to many fairy tales as a child and I suppose I want him to look obviously head over heals in love and grinning from ear to ear.

All this makes me glad I am not famous.

ColinFirthsGirth · 07/01/2015 09:44

What a lovely smile

I just think they have decided to play the press in as neutral way as possible.

I would expect her/his people are very wary of hatred from fans. They can't win really, whatever they look like or whatever they do.

Sudename · 07/01/2015 10:37

It's all over the Irish papers and media sites about the pregnancy and an early spring wedding

Cumberlover76 · 07/01/2015 10:58

Weird that only the Irish papers seem to confirm info from a source. Agree with most people thoughts on this. Be interesting to see how it pans out. I do hope he's happy though whatever is going on.

ColinFirthsGirth · 07/01/2015 11:06

The Telegraph online had an article about the pregnancy this morning but if you clcik on the link now it has been pulled which I think is very interesting.

I am still sitting on the fence with the pregnancy rumour until it is confirmed by someone like Karen. I am abit of a conspiracy theorist so I am not surprised this is over the internets gossip sites so close to the Oscar nominations. I thought only a few weeks ago and that Benedict would never use his relationship to further his career but now I am not so sure.

ColinFirthsGirth · 07/01/2015 11:09

Gosh what will I do when all this quietens down! I'll have to actually be productive and do my book keeping and my tax return!

FrankelandFilly · 07/01/2015 11:45

If an article has been pulled I'd suggest his people are being very hot on false rumours, or, if it is true, just their privacy in general.

HRHsherlockssextoy · 07/01/2015 13:55

The daily fail and Elle magazine are reporting baby news.

Hardly high class journalism from both but nice to smoke them out. If pregnant they'll be married before baby arrives.
I wonder if this is what he had planned all along.unlikely. But in other news...

Sudename · 07/01/2015 14:38

Palm Springs with Morten

Sudename · 07/01/2015 17:39

A rep has confirmed the pregnancy

HRHsherlockssextoy · 07/01/2015 18:08

That's lovely. Really is.

Cumberlover76 · 07/01/2015 18:53

Happy for him as he always said how much he wanted kids. Hope all goes well for them.

Sudename · 08/01/2015 11:42

Wishing them a healthy and happy pregnancy and baby. He's going to be a fab dad and make our hearts melt in the process

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 09/01/2015 08:07

My head is still spinning two days later.

I finally stopped reading the SoGo blog because the vitriol really bothered me. People were being so nasty, the attacks were getting so personal - and always anonymous. SH may have the outward aura of an ice cube, but something must be there if Benedict chose her to have a family with. Even though my inner 13 y.o. is still pitching an epic tantrum, I'm forcing myself to take the high road and wish them the best.

I'm afraid I'm still falling down the rabbit hole and have moved onto the BTT and WikiAnon blogs. I just hope he is genuinely happy, that's all.

In the meantime I'll reserve judgement make a cuppa and enjoy the mad conspiracy theories Grin

HRHsherlockssextoy · 09/01/2015 10:01

As I said, I wish them happiness with the baby. Children are hard work, they'll know what their relationship is made of

The blogs made me laugh being quite far fetched but you knew something was up

As it turns out it was

So formal engagement notice followed by confirmation in the daily mail

I was expecting born at the Portland

Anyway it turns out she was pregnant after a few months of going out together and they are not married. Not very old school.

The blogs have so much more to talk about!

Like them not appearing together at LFF tig prem because they weren't engaged but she was pregnant.

It's enough to make your head spin green card

Sudename · 09/01/2015 12:39

As we say here in Ireland "Tis all mad Ted"
Some of those blogs are very nasty and bitter but it doesn't stop me reading them.
Anyway congrats on the Bafta nomination and it will be interesting to see if she accompanies him at the Golden Globes on Sunday

ColinFirthsGirth · 09/01/2015 21:35

I'm with SciFi on this one.

I, of course want them to be happy and I really do hope Benedict is happy. However I am not eating the vegan chocolate crow just yet.

I still think this is a PR thing - even if she is pregnant it is still being used for PR in my opinion.

I have lost some respect for Benedict during this Oscar campaign, I think if he truly wanted things to be private it could have been handled a whole lot better. I do appreciate that he may have felt he was in a fix though.

I still am not convinced he likes her that much, I don't for a minute think he has chosen to be a parent with her - I think he is trying to make the best of the situation. I don't think getting married is the right thing to do if they aren't truly in love - I know we'll never know whether they are in love or not though. Just not getting the love vibe from them at all - his eyes have looked dead in alot of the photos.

However I will reiterate that I do hope they will be happy together and that most of all the baby will be too.

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 09/01/2015 23:18

What I can't get through my head is the following:

a) If Benedict is such a bang-up actor, why doesn't he turn on the charm for the press? Really sell the "SH is the love of my life" thing?

b) It really is looking like a shotgun wedding, which is also stupid because we're not in early 20th century America. Why would he go along with that? Love at first sight?

c) Assuming that Karon's confirmation really is true, I wonder if they each as individuals really wanted a child, and this (accidental) pregnancy would satisfy that urge, and now they just have to hope the rest falls into place (which, statistically, it won't) and later on they would split amicably and share custody (which would be laughable considering his work schedule - and hers).

d) Benedict made it to age 37 without getting any previous headliner girlfriends pregnant. Was SH's pregnancy an accident? Intentional? From what I have read/know/have heard told from friends is that it's not that easy to get pregnant past 35, many couples need up to a year. So either there is a massive amount of bullshit being spewn, or they've been together much longer than we think (don't want to think about the possibility that BC was bouncing between multiple beds) and have been trying (again, TTC while screwing other people is a major no-no in my book and would have me rethink this infatutation) or Benedict's sperm have become superhuman in the past 6 months.

As to all the people wondering what Tim/Wanda/SH's parents have to say on that matter - what ARE they going to say? "They're over the moon" - anything else would be immensely damaging in the case that this is for real. No one wants to hurt the parent of the grandchild, lest the parent restricts access to the kid.

My head hurts.

Also Needsagreencard the silence from his family and friends is just so strange. I would have expected tweets from James Rhodes at least but nada.

Sudename · 10/01/2015 00:03

Couldn't find a vegan chocolate crow. . .
