THE meeting place for those smitten with Benedict Cumberbatch. As one of the members put it: Hump, limp and bad wig - but we'd still hit it.

Pile on in, there's always room for one more!

You did say you'd seen Sherlock series 3 didn't you? Don't want to spoil anything further if not.

Hismumhermum · 14/11/2014 22:02

Sorry, thought you meant you had kissed him yourself. Got carried away vicariously!

Cumberlover76 · 14/11/2014 22:05

Ooh yes please! In my dreams!

Sudename · 14/11/2014 22:42

Sadly don't have a life sized cut out ladies.

Get youself to Amazon Sude a snip at only £35! Plus it folds down!

Sudename · 15/11/2014 10:28

Benedict at some awards thing in LA last night

Cumber maybe I'll put it on my Xmas list Wink

SciFiFan · 15/11/2014 11:14

Laughed at 'ideal sin in law' in the reviews.

I could be you Cumber, I was also floored by the Sherlolly kiss, to the point I now even write Sherlolly fanfic Blush.

I'm in my forties and this obsession is showing no signs of letting up, my family and DH are baffled.

SciFiFan · 15/11/2014 11:57

Sophie OK so I recently saw this video made by and starring Sophie Hunter recently and Grin I'm wondering if those stories about Benny being 'a bit fifty shades' might actually be true.

It's a bit too arty for me but I like the song, it's very haunting . All I'll say is watch it to the end (it's about 3 mins).

SciFiFan · 15/11/2014 12:01

Oh yes, I should mention, it's not suitable for viewing at work! There is nudity.

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 15/11/2014 22:20

SciFiFan, I hear you. Back in 2012 I had a dream about a guy who looked just like him and I started writing it down. The (yet unfinished) draft is 330+ pages long...

thinkineed2admit · 15/11/2014 22:32

Well. Sophie = barrel of laughs eh? Loved the song but could do without the video. Load of arty shoiyte. Grin

RiverTam · 15/11/2014 22:55

wow, I loved the song, her voice is beautiful. Video was a bit . . . ! Sexy lady, though, clearly not as demure as she seems to come across!

I see she did a French language CD with Guy Chambers (also this song), didn't he co-write (or write, I guess!) lots of Robbie Williams stuff?

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 15/11/2014 23:25

Is it me, or does she look just like Sophie Marleau?

OP posts:
NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 15/11/2014 23:30

*Marceau.

Damn you, Autocorrect.

Sudename · 15/11/2014 23:44

She does a bit Needsagreencard
Like the song but the video is a bit artsy farty for my tastes.

Cumberlover76 · 16/11/2014 08:26

I also liked the song, but wtf was all the dead fish about, but daft?! Her in the s&m get up would have been enough without the other shit. Bit if a dirty girl though it seems. Geddon Benedict eh?Wink

HRHsherlockssextoy · 16/11/2014 10:02

I have just seen the video.

She looks like Benedict with lipstick on

cumberlover I didn't get the fish either but she has nice arms

SciFiFan · 16/11/2014 11:30

I also agree that the fish were odd and unnecessary, but then most of that video seemed odd and unnecessary Grin.

Wow, needsa do you think you'll ever finish and publish your story? Mine are all short stories max being about 40 000 words. It's fun to do though.

Cumberlover76 · 16/11/2014 13:38

She does look like him, definite similarities.

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 16/11/2014 15:35

SciFiFan: It's definitely on the to-do list, but life keeps getting in the way. DH, DS1 and DS2, plus a part time job, volunteering at school plus my other two hobbies (patchwork and singing) are all vieing for a chunk of my 24 hours. I also will eventually need someone to BritPick. (sigh)

OP posts:
SciFiFan · 16/11/2014 17:00

I know what you mean Needsa, there just never enough time.

If you ever get stuck for a BritPicker though just shout, I don't mind Smile.

Cumberlover76 · 16/11/2014 17:43

What's britpick?

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 16/11/2014 18:09

BritPicking is proofreading and editing of a text written by a non-Brit who is attempting to write/sound like one. You would BritPick words like sneakers when "trainers" would be used, or make sure the writer means "underwear" when they write "pants" and not "trousers". I've been conversing with enough non-American for so long that I now use the present perfect "properly" and get odd looks back home because they think I should be using simple past. Ah, the trials and tribulations of a self-confessed language geek.

And thanks, SciFiFan , I may well take you up on your offer...if I ever finish!

OP posts:
Sudename · 16/11/2014 20:30

The maroon pants are back

Cumberlover76 · 16/11/2014 21:27

Ah, I'd probably enjoy britpicking. I love writing too, although find little time these days with a full time job and a full time toddler! I've done some proof reading which i enjoyed and am also a language lover Needs.
