Moving to Manchester

Hi we're moving to Manchester in the new year and don't know the area very well. Want to be somewhere that has plenty going on, plus cafés etc. Also good nurseries/schools/parks. Thinking South Manchester rather than north, but open to suggestions. Thanks.

If you want to know more about the area with no family/parent angle better ask on reddit. Manchester group over there is more active but it feels like most of them are very young people, like students or so.
