I am. Have joked i'm just going to cancel his vote out...light hearted banter. But 18th is almost here... And it seems to be a very close call... And the atmospere in the house is turning Hmm. Both of us will be gutted if we don't get the result we are hoping for...

Just wondered if there were others in this situation and how you are coping in the run up...

Us too, I am a yes and DH is a no. I'm sure whatever happens there will be a lot of I told you so x

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 12/09/2014 11:58

Oh. I can imagine that is making for a lovely atmosphere :(

Have you been able to have a good discussion about it or does it quickly just descend into a row?

(both couples)

Just being nosey - and feel free to ignore me - but what are you main reasons for your various yes/no decisions?

Lones80 · 12/09/2014 12:12

We've gone for opposite votes. DH posted our ballots this week and I keep joking that he posted mine in the bin. No bad feeling here, we both respect each other's reasons for the way we voted, we just happen to disagree slightly!

I'm a yes, DP is a no. It's been good though, we've had a good debate or twelve Grin

He's a no because of uncertainty. I'm a yes because I just can't bring myself to vote for the way things are just now. There's no certainty on either side Sad

Clr2014 · 12/09/2014 14:27

I'm a no because I like being a part of the UK. I like that we are made up of 4 distinctive parts - each with their own culture and characteristics, but that together we are one.

I do believe that Scotland could be a good, strong independent country in it's own right... kind of like, if I wanted to divorce DH (not on the cards!)then I believe I could survive on my own and make a good life for me and my children... but we are much better together; a whole package!

I'm a yes and my dp is undecided still, we've watched all the debates and it's been great having discussions between us that make us research and really think about what's best. And we will continue to do so till the big day!

Clr - wow!

Thank you for posting this analogy - you've helped me cement baby brain why I feel the way I do.

Thanks Clever CLR
