Close/top friends.

Hi, for reasons I won't go into I don't want to see a person's posts any more. I have unfollowed them so they are not appearing in my feed anymore. However, they were in my 'close friends' (think it used to be called top friends) which means it notifies you every time they do something. I have removed them from my 'close friends' but I am still being notified of everything that they do, why?! Please help.

just delete them then and be done with it.

No, I don't want to delete them, we have not fallen out. I just need to preserve my own sanity by not seeing their posts anymore.

I think you can change the settings to just see certain posts or block altogether - I have done this in the past.

Go into your friends list and right click the small icon next to their name then uncheck the one that says something about notifications. HTH
