hi, i wonder if anyone has any tips on children being bullied?
i live in a predominantly jewish neighbourhood in london (i am christian), and given the recent israel mass murders in gaza, i've not been shy in letting my feelings known that i think that israel is committing war crimes and that the world should stand up to them (i am not alone as i have some jewish friends who agree, but i have been the most vocal).

This has resulted in a lot of hostility towards my family and my son being bullied in his mainly jewish school. i have also been labelled anti semitic (one of my jewish friends who has stuck by me has been called a self loathing jew). i initially thought this was all a bit silly, but i really am getting worn down with the threats and bullying.
its not so much me but my children that i am concerned about.
any advice?
ta!

I think you should keep your opinions about Israel in check a bit considering there are many ordinary decent (Israeli?) Jewish people in your community. It us a very difficult situation for them, more complex than it is for you so im not surprised that your opinions being vocalised strongly has lead to defensiveness and even aggression from some of them. I would hope you have been very very careful about what aspects of the conflict you have a problem with and not said anything that could be offensive to the wider community of Israeli and Jewish people living abroad or even in Israel. These things are never as simple as The bad Israeli people who bomb or even support bombings of Gaza. People are unfortunately prisoners of their environment and there are probably only a handful of people involved who are truly evil in this awful murder of people in Gaza. Try to see this from their perspective and not do things to polarise yourself from your neighbours.
