My seven y/o DD is very clean and organised, loves to sort out her own things, including cleaning out her bag (yay for me!), and writing me a list of things to buy BEFORE we go shopping. Yet my older nine nearly ten y/o DS cannot be bothered to help me out when school finishes until I start to deduct pocket money. It really works and they act before any pocket money is lost. That means quickly!
