Professional photograph not good

School arranged a pro photographer for DC's holy communion. I paid for two photos- one of DS1 on his own and one of myself, DS1 and DS2. She snapped away, and then after maybe 5ish minutes said "right, got it. That's us folks. I'll be in touch when they're ready"

So they arrived today and the one of DS on his own looks as if she caught him mid movement, not smiling or even sitting posed which i know he definitely was for some of them. He has his eyes slightly shut and he is slouching. The one of three of us together is not as bad but neither DC smiling the camera or 'ready' for the shot. I'm sure there must have been better ones and if there werent then why did she let us go before getting at least one decent one. There's no way she packed those up and posted them thinking they were good photos.

So what do i do? There is no way i can display the photos which was the whole point of getting them.

Ask for your money back. It sounds like you could have done a better job yourself! What a shame :-(

Can you ask for the reel so you can pick a better one? (If one exists??)

I've never heard of having to pay before you see the photographs - is that normal at your school? Confused.

I dont know ragwort- this wasnt the usual school photographer. We had to pay before we even got in to the photo area.

I'm going to ask to see all the photos and hope there is a decent one, otherwise i'll ask for a refund.
