cows milk allergy! !

Im new to here but hello to all you fellow mums :)..my 4week old is suffering from almost all cows milk allergy symptoms. .but not sure if just colic..have stopped eating any dairy for 3 days now and does seemed to of calmed slightly..have been referred to dietitian. .anyone going/gone through same?!

My DS had this as a baby and my sister is a dietician so I know a fair bit about this!

Cutting out dairy is the only thing you can do really, I can't remember how long it was until my son became calmer I think a few days?

How extreme you take the no dairy thing I'm not sure...(baked milk e.g. Biscuits etc can sometimes be avoided).

Try to find out whether it's the lactose, or the lactase he's allergic to. I have sensitivity to lactose and fortunately, these days dairy products with the lactose removed are available. I believe it's more onerous if lactase is the allergen. As you can tell, I'm no expert! I'm sure others will be along soon who know more about it. Best of luck.
