Not sure what to do for the best

My oldest child is 6 and my youngest is 3 nearly 4. They share a room and we have newly had gas heating put in. The boiler is now in the only cupboard in their room. I'm considering bunk beds for space or cabin beds as they would have extra storage, however I'm not convinced they're safe. I've just googled it and read that a young boy ended up hanging from his and it's completely put me off but I can't leave things as it is. They have no room. No space to play hardly any room to walk out of their beds and their beds are so close together they don't really have their own space. Any advice greatly appreciated. What would you guys do?

I had bunk beds with my sister until I was 13.... I loved them. It is very sad to hear such a sad story but bad things happen and you could hear terrible stories about sofas, normal beds, kitchen appliance etc etc. Get your bunk beds and enjoy the space!!

Thanks Cric I have been thinking about it non stop as the space issue has been really bothering me so I think I will just bite the bullet and opt for the bunk beds. X
