Now, for those who have seen Frankenstein, would you go for BC as Frankenstein or The Creature?

He is excellent as both. A very tough choice. I'd probably say as the creature, because it's arguably a more technically interesting and complex role (voice, body language etc).

However, IMO JLM was quite good as the creature and pretty rubbish (or at best unmemorable) as Victor Frankenstein, whereas Benedict took a fairly thinly written role and made a small triumph of out it. So if you see Benedict as Frankenstein you get more parity in the performances, IYSWIM.

Any possibility of you seeing both?

I don't think so, I don't think I could cope with DH's 'you are such a sad sack' look if I went 2 nights on the trot!

bless him, he's so long-suffering with my sleb crushes (he never fancies anyone. Ever. How can that be??? It's very irritating). He came back from the pub one evening while I was watching Tinker Tailor, and he sat down to watch it with me, eventually spotted BC, said in a disbelieving tone 'is that BC? Is that why you're watching this' (it's not my kind of film really) and rolled his eyes. But still sat there so I felt - inhibited .

Agree that BC as the Creature is fantastic. JLM is not a great Frankenstein, and obviously the creature is on stage less, but BC's performance is fantastic.
