I volunteer as a STEM Ambassador and regularly visit schools to demonstrate, enthuse, support the delivery of science. Tomorrow I will be visiting a local primary school to talk about gene inheritance and as part of my demonstration I will be showing the children how to extract DNA from a strawberry. Just to double check that everything is working and to give the boys 'a shot' we had a go this evening. It proved to be very successful - so much so that G wants our next adventure to be bringing a mammoth back to life......erm......
