Changing back to 'most recent' on desktop

I don't know why FB is so obsessed with switching every to 'top stories', it drives me nuts, they repeat the same claptrap over and over and skip out the stuff I actually want to see. They also bury the option to switch goodness knows where.

Anyhow, today, it seems to be switched back to 'top stories' again and I cannot for the life of me find the place to change the setting back to 'most recent'

Any ideas please?

left hand side of the screen, near the top - there's a little arrow next to news feed which gives you the choice.
