Beware Rogue Traders

Hi all on Mumsnet, I would like to give everyone a heads up for some rogue traders out there, I recently looked online (bad mistake I know) for a company to fix my mums tumble drier, only the start button had broke, I found ServiceNet seemed o.k, website appeared professional they called me advised price on callout etc and I thought it was ok so agreed for their engineer to come. He came didn't look that professional (my 2 year old son has a better toolbox) but you can't judge a book by the cover, anyway long story short ServiceNet ordered the part I needed (which was only a couple of quid but I had to pay £12 courier charge). 3 months later I've still not had the part, the engineer is no more and they assured me I would get a refund, so far they owe me £108 not to mention at least £15 to repeat call them on their premium phone line to get answers, you can't speak to accounts and you get passed around, their registered office is just of post office box and looking at other blogs elsewhere they don't pay their engineers either so I implore you not to use ServiceNet, or therepair Comapany.biz (same company) or Beko RepairMan they are Nationwide and will take your money. I have very little spare money and was trying to help my mum out when I couldn't really afford it so please please don't let this happen to you or get a loved one sucked into working for them.
