Baby boy names. What do people think of Edward shortened to 'Ted'?

Help! I am 39 weeks pregnant and we have a girls name lined up but not yet 100% settled on a boys name. We quite like traditional names and Edward is a fave, we would shorten it to 'Ted'. What do people think of that? I thinks it's cute but would appreciate some other opinions from people I don't know.

Other faves are Thomas and George. Followed by Jacob and Dylan.

Any ideas? Thanks! x

My DS goes to school with a Ted - I like it :-)

I like it. Ned too.

I love it! It was my Dad's name (shortened from Terrence though bizarrely). I wanted Teddy / Ted for our LB but it was vetoed. I really like it, and he has a 'Sunday' name if he wishes to use that when older.
