She wants us to feel sorry for her Shock she doesn't mention how his children, his first wife or her first husband must have felt as she does now, oh no it is all about her.

Errr well they had been married for over a decade so yes I would think his cheating was a shock and it was always apparent she didn't give a damn about her husband or his wife or she would never have got involved with the awful Bovey. I don't see why she's not allowed to feel stress in the face of a very stressful situation.

BorisJohnsonsHairdresser · 05/05/2014 11:20

He had three children and was married years to his first wife and cheated on her, as if Anthia didn't think he would do the same to her. He cheated his creditors too. She set herself up for this years ago and now is moaning that a known cheat cheated on her, please.

I read it here on Mumsnet
'If you marry a man who cheats on his wife (with you) then ... you marry a man who cheats on his wife ! '

Onesleeptillwembley · 13/05/2014 06:22

It was patently obvious he's a dishonest arsehole all along so she shouldn't really be that shocked.
Can't say I have a high opinion of her either.

BlueSkySunnyDay · 14/05/2014 14:30

Ive never been keen on her. I grew to dislike her more when she became involved with Bovey, through the whole Cadburys wedding sponsorship thing and their shoddy financial shenanigans.

I wouldnt wish it on anyone, but Im certainly not going to shed any tears for her. I always think of the quote "If you marry your mistress you create a job vacancy"

Kaluki · 03/06/2014 16:33

Oh boo hoo!!!
I hope Grant Bovey's ex wife reads that article and is laughing her head off!! Karma's a bitch!!!

wannaBe · 03/06/2014 16:43

nasty.

I don't condone affairs in the slightest, but neither do I think that people deserve what is coming to them if they do end up together because of an affair, especially if they do end up in a long-term relationship or even marriage.

Or is that the kind of person people aspire to be - the type who wishes bad things to anyone who has ever done anything wrong to anyone... Hmm

We have no idea what kind of marriage this was. We have no idea of the potential guilt that may have surrounded the circumstances in which they got together, and just because they got together as the result of an affair does not mean she deserved for it to happen to her, wishing that on anyone doesn't make you any better than the person who cheats in the first place, humans are humans, and two wrongs don't make a right.

I don't much care for the celebrity culture that sees one needing to plaster one's private life all over the media, OK magazine, twitter and the like, and I don't particularly care to read about what particular hell any one of our so-called "celebrities" is going through. But neither can I bring myself to wish ill on any of them either.

NCISaddict · 03/06/2014 16:53

An ex colleague of mine used to work for them, she said they were the worst employers she had ever had, rude and arrogant and with no principles at all. Everything was about money and they didn't care how they made it and whose lives they wrecked in the process.

LackaDAISYcal · 03/06/2014 16:58

I was going to post my thoughts on the OP, but wannaBe has said it much more eruditely than I could. Not a fan of petty gloating at all really.

AnyFucker · 03/06/2014 17:06

it's Anthea

MostlyMama · 03/06/2014 17:11

When a man marries his mistress he creates a vacancy

AnyFucker · 03/06/2014 17:21

Poor Anthea basically ruined her career (and her life ?) because of a man.

There's not much satisfaction in crowing about that, tbh. Women in all walks of life are doing it every day of the week.

Gingermum · 05/06/2014 21:19

Regardless of what you think of her, Anthea Turner was very close to her stepdaughters. And they more than anyone would have a reason to hate her - their mother was dumped for her. But they loved her. So she was doing something right.

Bovey on the other hand - a lizard dipped in lubricant.
