Trade Mark your blog?

Has anyone applied to register their blog name as a trade mark? If yes how did you do? under which categories did you register it? All comments on the topic much appreciated. Many thanks.

I haven't thought about doing this for my blog (I don't really have a logo anyway). However, I've been loosely involved in this through work a few years ago.

My recollection is the categories should be fairly obvious because a lot of them are connected to products which won't be relevant. At some point there will need to be search to check there is not another logo similar to yours. I don't know if you can do this before you apply or whether it is part of the process.
