this year is the first year i have a job and can afford to get (or make) my wonderful mother something nice for her 40th birthday
Now, she has perfume
She has shoes, and clothes, and make up, and jewellery (and can't keep a watch to save her life)
with all the good choices taken, and when you want her to feel special and have something to open, wwyd?
or rather, what would you get/do?!

Nice scarf.
Photobook, either of her family or just her, through the years.
A book of the decade she was born.
Is there ever anything wrong with more jewellery?
A rose, with her name, or Happy Birthday.

Can you take her out for a meal?

spend time with her at a day spa?

I got my mum a swinging hammock seat thing for her garden...
