Suzi Witt left a career in the city to launch Pretty Witty Cakes, and is now renowned for her adorable and easy to make sugarcraft characters, cake baking and decorating courses and online video tutorials. To celebrate the publication of Pretty Witty Cakes Book of Sugarcraft Characters, we've got a great competition with Quadrille Publishing to win an annual membership to Pretty Witty Cakes (worth £99), and three runners up will win copies of the book. Please note: The annual membership prize is for new members in the first year of membership not renewals.

I am a self taught cake decorator and make cakes for family and friends. Here is a recent Mulberry clutch bag gift box/present cake made for a 30th birthday.

This is my sons 4th birthday cake which was all completely handmade by myself and is the first cake of this kind I ever made. I was totally proud of myself!

This was a friends wedding cake. Due to leaving some things to the last minute and a communication error with DH I ended up finishing it in a small caravan!

I've only got into cake making since I had kids and only their birthday cakes. My favourite one was the pirate ship for DS1's 3rd birthday, but was also happy with his 5th Octonauts/Under the Sea cake and DS2's 1st birthday cake with Scout the puppy. Nowhere near as good as some on this thread, which are really amazing, but I'm proud of my handiwork and think I'm starting to improve! Now I need to get some lessons!

And here are the others! I was pleased with the actual dinosaurs - less so with the ganache - tasted good though
