One of my favourite things to do when I get a moment is to read, I like nothing better than to curl up with a good book.
I like murder mysteries and thrillers mainly but I will read nearly anything. I don't mind something light and fluffy for when I'm holiday and enjoy reading biographies of people I'm interested in, I don't mind something a bit historical especially if it's local, I've even got into the young persons scene with the likes of Twilight and Hunger Games.
The Three is a new thriller from Sarah Lotz and will be released shortly but you can download a sampler now for free, check out the trailer. I'll be reviewing this shortly so watch this space for more information.
I've got plenty of books lined up to read and review which I love to do, I've always fancied joining a book club but never really had the time. I like the idea of meeting up for a cuppa and some cake chatting with like minded people about what we have just read.
I also think it's something really important to do early with your children, we've read to our little one since he was born. He has been read children's books, adult books, a very exciting article about gritting (my OH not me). I don't think it matter what you are reading they will enjoy hearing your voice and are going to start picking up words here and there as they get older.
I get so much pleasure and enjoyment from reading I would love my little boy to get the same joy from it I do. It has helped me throughout school and in my adult life.
So what I'm going to do now is make myself a drink and try and finish the book I'm currently reading, The Land of Dragor, The Gift of Charms by Julia Suzuki. It is the first book in a series set in the Land of Dragor, hopefully I'll even be able to get the review written!
