so my D's has been at his aunts this weekend and thrown up on way home

he looks under the weather but has just asked for some toast, has a history of bouncing back the next day

we have booked him into football school tomorrow to cover the holiday as we are both working, should we send him if he appears OK with a message to call us if unwell or just keep him at home? other ds is going anyway

Football will be a full on day and at his age with a sore tummy , I suspect you would get a call anyway.

I was hoping to avoid that

dh said we could get friends to watch him but also feel that's wrong if he's sick

Was he car sick? If so, quarantine doesn't really count. At our school, we are a little flexible if a child has thrown for non illness reasons (such as being car / coach sick or eating too fast etc). Try to find out why he threw up and if he feels fine for the rest of the day and doesn't vomit again, I would chance it. But that is just me and I'm not a doctor or your child's parent!

he's very hot

we are trying to find a few hours cover so we can both work tomorrow, unless he makes a miraculous recovery
