We're having people over at 11am on the weekend - what food should I have on hand?

So, they're not coming for lunch but will no doubt be here for a couple of hours. I couldn't possibly just give them a coffee and a biscuit. What do I lay on? Sweet/savoury? Any ideas?

I this k that Would make sure that I had stuff in to make soup and sandwiches in case I needed to give them lunch. Stiff that will keep/can be frozen if not used.

Brunch

Warmed croissants , brioche, other pastries. Fresh orange juice.
