Apparently Steven Moffat has said in an interview that the BBC didn't like his casting of BC as Sherlock as he wasn't sexy enough. Whoever said that, they should hang their heads in shame!

I have a strange talent for things like that. Apparently it's a trait associated with my Myers-Briggs personality type (INFJ for those playing along at home) -- weird attention to detail and a memory to go with it.

BC not sexy? Hello? I guess it all depends on the presentation. I mean, I watched Colin Firth in "Fever Pitch" and was all "blergh" with that pseudo-Afro he was sporting, but in "Pride & Prejudice"...va va voom!

Done with Mansfield Park and am now smirking over his idea of an American accent while listening to "Tom & Viv". It's OK, but he sometimes falls out of it on certain words, often over-accentuating words to the point where it doesn't fit with the regional accent. I'm not too familiar with the St. Louis (Missouri) accent, but TS Eliot had ties to New England, and that accent I am very familiar with. I would have expected a slightly more sloppy pronunciation of "Harvard" (a more nasal version of the expected British pronunciation), but oh well. I'm nitpicking, aren't I? I had to switch off the English soundtrack to "The Perfect Storm" once because George Clooney and consorts were butchering the Boston accent. (The only one who got it right was Mark Wahlberg, and he's from there.)

Ooooh have a fab time at Hay HRH. Try and get near enough to smell him. I'm meeting with a friend in a couple of weeks who may or may not have had to do his make up at some point and i will ask how he smells, i forgot to ask her last time as was a little embarrassed by my utter fangirling of the man as she was being soooo cool about having worked with him. I'm all ready with those questions now though!
