Yes, my fellow Americans are complete shit at geography. But be kind, our country does take up most of one continent (shh, don't tell the Canadians) -- where most people all speak the same language and neither need nor want a passport. You should have seen and heard them when I told them I was learning two foreign languages at school (Spanish and German), I might as well have told them I have three heads. But yes, we Americans are shit at filling out maps. I would wager that most can't name all 50 states, either. (Would they know we have 50? That's iffy, too.)

But I digress.

I thought a lot of the comments on the maps were very amusing. I have to say if I was handed a map of the US I wouldn't be able to accurately name much apart from California, Texas and Florida. Africa would be pretty dire too, and as for all the Stans - no chance!

Getting the Hobbit soon, looking forward to watching all the extras. BC, Richard Armitage and Aidan Turner in one film - swoon! Quite like Thranduil too, I like an icily arrogant elf (loved Haldir in LOTR, even if he was as camp as Christmas).
