So was reading this article in the daily mail about an 18yr old mother Stacey ball who stole her baby away from SS during a supervised visit on one hand she stood up to them and took her baby back who im sure she loves more than anything but on the other hand she is 18 is doesn't have a job and she is unable to care for the child with no partner to care for either of them either (abusive relationship) so its a half and half situation really was she right or wrong in what she did i say right for standing up for them and wrong because they have her babies best interests at heart and she has landed her self in even more s**t for doing this ?? www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2582488/Four-arrested-police-missing-toddler-Lola-safe-vanished-mother-visited-foster-care.html

Life is not that simple Sea.

NigellasDealer · 17/03/2014 18:47

the thing is 'seananners' if you were a vet you would be able to write, and would know the difference between 'there' 'their' and 'they're'.
normally i do not mention such errors as it seems a bit arsey but i will make an exception in this case.

Bloody hell sea, you really have no idea what you are talking about. Your posts are really very offensive.

Onesleeptillwembley · 17/03/2014 18:53

Going for a rise for good 'mumsnet quotes' for the paid per word piece. Don't feed it.

SeaNanners · 17/03/2014 18:53

Im burping my son at the same time as typing im not arsey enough to care about spelling and punctuation with a baby on one arm ill save it for when im at work

HotDogHotDogHotDiggityDog · 17/03/2014 18:54

That's an awfully long burp.......

NigellasDealer · 17/03/2014 18:55

Maybe you should claim it, buy food and donate it to a food bank for all those feckless parents......

LtEveDallas · 17/03/2014 19:13

Don't be daft sea. How can someone who spent 7 years training to be a vet be that misinformed about ringfenced budgets? Fix holes with CB? Christ.

(Oh, btw, by NOT claiming it you are doing your child and yourself a disservice. You won't always be working, remember and you need it if you aren't going to be screwed over when you need your state pension.)

SeaNanners · 17/03/2014 19:16

I have a private pension my business is booming and me an OH have lots of saving we will never need for anything ever neither will our child which is why we finally had him because we can afford it we dont need to beg for benfits or pester taxpayers

Do you really think this woman's child was removed because she's on benefits?

LtEveDallas · 17/03/2014 19:24

And what happens when you or your husband drops dead of a heart attack? Or commits suicide (highest instances of suicide in qualified vets). Or your husband leaves you?

What if your child is dx with a disability or SNs?

Benefits are there as a helping hand for those people unable to work for a myriad of reasons.

Stop being a Mail reader, it makes you sound like a fool.

HotDogHotDogHotDiggityDog · 17/03/2014 19:26

Smug people will fall flat on their face eventually.

Just saying.....

NonnoMum · 17/03/2014 19:35

Seananners - I'm sure you come across lots of low-income families in your thriving veterinary practice. What is your policy for payments from families who are struggling financially? Do you feel that families on a low income shouldn't be allowed pets? Or is it only babies they shouldn't be allowed?

Ohbyethen · 17/03/2014 19:35

What rot.

OneStepCloser · 17/03/2014 19:41

So, this is not about that girl at all, just a thread to knock families on benefits? How nice you are, being smug is so very ugly.

NigellasDealer · 17/03/2014 19:44

exactly this has nothing to do with that poor girl, it is about 'seananners' the illiterate vet and how wonderfully she has done everything. bully for her.

sea Did you post the question under the pretence of starting a genuine conversation to see what people really thought on the mother taking her child, or did you post it to give yourself the opportunity of openly looking down on those that claim benefits and aren't as well off as thou?!

I really do hope you bring your children up to be a little more open-minded and a little less judgemental than what you so obviously are. Not everybody can open their own veterinary practice and be as marvellous at spelling at succeeding in life like you.
