I recently bought my friend's three year old a scooter from Argos for £19.99. She loves it!

Playdough set with cutters, rolling pin etc

You Choose is fantastic - my 3yo DD also adores it.

We bought her a lovely Melissa & Doug sandwich making set for Christmas. I'd definitely recommend it. She loves running a sandwich restaurant for us all :)

Rather than one big toy, the other thing I would do is spend the money on lots of crafty things: paint, coloured and plain paper, scissors, pens, pencils, scrapbooks, stickers, glitter, pipe cleaners etc. My DD gets through loads of it and its by far her favourite thing to do.

Yes making up a craft kit would be great, or there's always happy land.

I would get a pop up tent and prehaps a pop up tunnel if the budget will stretch

Pop up tents can be folded down when play is finished and its possible to take them to the beach if the child needs shelter from the sun.

Dd is 3 and recently got an evo move n groove scooter which she loves.
