I hate smoking and everything about it, I hate the lingering smell and it looks ugly and people should know better. I always complain about it. But Benedict smoking, well ... that's different isn't it ... elegant and sexy and a little bit naughty

I quite often prefer people who smoke. Most of my friends are ex-smokers, as am I. I'm actually a bit annoyed that on a dating site I signed up with, the automatically assume that if you are a non-smoker, you'd prefer a non-smoking partner. I don't really mind.

I love the scene in Sherlock with him and Mycroft smoking and their mum catching them!

hold on a minute - the 2nd Hobbit film isn't out on dvd yet. So no dragon action for me hurumph.

I do think it's important for an actor to be able to smoke properly - Keanu Reeves in Constantine (USP: chain smoker) clearly isn't a smoker and he just looked all wrong, despite being very beautiful and all that. BC would have been a masterful Constantine and would have smoked to perfection.

I used to be terribly anti smoking when I was younger, but quite uptight, which is what I think you can be, but as I've got older, I don't mind it so much. Each to their own and it is sexy.

Discovered yesterday that Parades End was on the new Kindle Prime thing. Am already on Episode 4 and may even finish it tonight. Love his character in it, always so sad and put upon, makes me just want to cuddle him and other things

Also finally got DS1 to sit still long enough to listen to an episode of Cabin Pressure. Since we play Yellow Car together, I played Vaduz for him (he loved the Maxi-Arthur fights). He actually wanted more! Now if I could just get the 4 yo to be quiet long enough for us to get through an episode or five I'd be all set.
