Scratched the car........ Eeek!!!

So I have a car and my husband has one. Today I scratched mine along the side of a fence! Reversed in car park to let a car past and when I went forward my angle meant I scratched on a corner fence post. It's a fairly deep scratch.

How will I tell my husband? I actually have no idea how he will react.

Has he never bumped his car?
If I did something to my car my dh would give me a cuddle and mop up my tears.

As long as you are ok then don't worry too much. It can be fixed

Why are you worried about his reaction? It's just a mistake, nobody got hurt.

DH comes from a family who are quite snooty about cars. bunch of hypocrites who prang own, but seem to think it's high shame time. Very weird.
