UCS 11 plus

Hi all,

My son is sitting the 11plus exam for UCS in January. Am I right in thinking there's a Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning paper? My son struggles more with his English than his Maths. Can anyone help by suggesting ways in which I can help him prepare for the English papers (I assume he'll have to do a comprehension paper and write a story? Will there be a punctuation paper?) Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you heard of the Bond test paper books?
Here's a link:

You can get them in verbal reasoning, maths etc. too. If you got these now your son could practice between now and the exams and be much better prepared for the exam. You might also phone the school and check exactly what papers they set.
