A social worker made this statement about me yet she has never met me doesn't know my background or discussed my daughters problems with me in any shape or from - this was part of a recent Cafcass report - anyone any views - is this considered to be libel - I'm furious

…I am informed that although maternal grandmother is considered at present a protective factor, there are concerns as she refuses to acknowledge her daughters difficulties with drugs and may therefore be unable to recognise drug use...

I'm not sure, but my initial thoughts are that she has been informed of this by someone else.

It might have been a doctor or another health professional, or somebody less professional and reliable. Are you able to read the report? Can you ask what she has based this statement on?

Sorry I'm no help but there are bound to be lawyers and social workers on here soon.
