I am right to keep him off school aren't I. Just that.

Only just seen this but wanted to comment.

A temp of 37.6 is not really that high, and it's only a sore thraot. I would have sent him to school.

The LO's I look after have had sore throats, and bad coughs, full of cold all week but they have both been into school along with the rest of their classes and teachers who have all felt the same!

That wouldn't be a 'real' temperature for me, I run quite hot. So, that and a sore throat wouldn't get a day off in our house. Does he feel OK? Ill or not?

WhispersOfWickedness · 18/11/2013 21:58

I would send him to school. I wouldn't consider that a high temperature. Unless you have other reasons to worry about him, existing medical conditions?

I keep my dc off if they complain of a bad sore throat. It is miserable to go to school under those circs. Obviously if they had a crucial exam or something it would be different. My ds has had the day off today - sore throat, really snotty and head-coldy but no temperature.
