Lost Teddy-York

Lost between New Earswick & Yearsley Pool

Teddy is a blondey colour & quite distinct as he's wearing a pink swimming costume & red velvet scarf!

Not quite sure where else to post this? If someone found a loved looking teddy what would they do with it?

Hope you find it! Have you thought of a fab campaign?

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 15/11/2013 01:03

Without knowing the area I'm not sure - take it into a shop if there is one or put it on a wall or fence where it could be seen maybe?

I'd be torn between wanting to leave it there so the person could come back for it and taking it with me to keep it safe & itry to find the owner...

I hope you find him/her :(

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 15/11/2013 01:05

Oh & if it was ours I would put up 'missing' posters.

This is why none of ours are allowed out of the house - unless it's to Grandparents etc - I couldn't cope with the heartache mine if one of them was lost :(

Oh I'm so cross with myself for loosing him (teddy) I'm normally pretty good at keeping an eye in him.... But I think he's slipped off the pram while my dd was asleep.

It's one dead straight road, about 10-15min walk, no buildings, just fields either side.
I've triple checked the area, had a good kick in the leaves but no sign....

I'm also cross that the bear finder hasn't done anything for help me find him, I've looked in every shop/notice board nearby, posted ads on Facebook, not sure what else to do? I guess maybe he's been found by some kids that have chucked him someone I can't see from the path.

Let's keep this bumped :)

Have you tried posting on the local site?

Can you put any posters up?

Poor bear :(

mrsbee2be · 16/11/2013 07:55

Thanks I've added a post on my local (york) & will have another check in local shops today.... Not feeling too hopeful tho, not sure what someone would do with teddy he's a bit smelly & manky!

:(

Try again - he might have been hiding Wink

Try going at the same time of day, you might see regular dog walkers etc

Bluebell99 · 16/11/2013 08:03

Do you have a photo? He sounds cute in his swimming costume :) I found one of my lost ones on the reception desk at the doctors . Recently I have seen a found toy in a shop window with a lost poster. Hope your bear turns up. Have you read "Tatty Ratty" it's a story about a lost rabbit.

Sorry delayed response, forgot I had posted on here. I have a pic but not sure how I add it to my comment (on my phone) he's a wh smith wearing a scarf (seen on & a newborn baby swimming cossie, my dd like to run things.
I've just joined york mumbler so will post on there too....
Update is I found another teddy, on eBay for £2, Although I know it won't be the same I'm gonna try rough him up a bit & see if she likes him, it's worth a try.
