He talked during the enquiry about his persona being an act for the cameras. I can tell you from a first hand account that it's not!
I work in Horseracing and was at a lunch at Newbury Racecourse, seated at the same table (of 10 people) as JM and his wife. Several times during the meal he referred to the way I was dressed and called me a maneater 
. I was in no way provocatively dressed and found him very intimidating. His wife was lovely though.
