We are getting pretty darn excited about the imminent approach of BlogFest on November 9, where we'll be hearing from Prof. Tanya Byron, Jon Ronson, Stella Creasy and Jo Brand - as well as some of our fantastic bloggers including Annie Spratt, Tanya Barrow, Jack Monroe, Rosie Fiore, Jax Blunt, Alison Perry, Sonya Cisco, Tanya Tirraro, Cassandra Parkin, Andrea Mann, MaggieWoodley and Gemma Regaldo-Hawkey.

This thread is for everyone who’s already coming, is thinking of coming (or wishes they were coming!) to gather, share tips and info – and generally get ready for the Big Day!

You can also join in the conversation on Twitter by following us @MumsnetBloggers. Feel free to tweet us with any questions – or, alternatively, you can email us on bloggers[at]mumsnet[dot]com.

See you on the 9th!

Kate What about a sticker we can put under our name badges to say 'Hi! I'm a no mates blogger' or words to that effect? So it's not so scary to approach a complete stranger?

I can't make it (boo!) as I'm very, very new to all this and got myself all booked up before I became a blogger, let alone a Mumsnet blogger.

But you can find me here if you like: readingmedievalbooks.wordpress.com/ and I'll hope to be at the next one.

Hi everyone!

I'm an expat blogger who lives in Qatar. My blog is called 4 kids, 20 suitcases and a beagle. If you see a terrified woman with an Aussie accent please, please PLEASE come and say hi (Me? Needy and desperate? Whatever do you mean).

Is this a first blog conference for anyone else?

Cardies and Crumbs, thanks for the cake. Shall we open another bottle of red?

Hi everyone - I've just booked my tickets, and as newbie to blogging I too will know no-one. I've blogged for a while before, but have just launched one that is much more 'me' and that I'm hoping to really get running with. However, this is my first 'outing' (conference sounds very fierce!), so if you see me plus bump wandering around looking inspired but friend-less please grab me!

You can check out the blog at:
www.themeaningofwife.co.uk

If there's anything specific for newbies to help break the ice on the day I'd love to know/hear about it - otherwise I may just start chatting to people randomly out of nervous energy!

Look forwards to seeing you all there on the day! Whoop Whoop!

Hi - just saw your link. I grew up in Dubai so was interested to hear you live in Qatar. It'll be my first time at Blogfest - but if you want to grab a buddy for the day I'd be happy to link up. Have found you on Bloglovin so I can follow your blog :) Safe Travels.

I'm sadly no longer able to make the conference and would like to sell my ticket. I bought at the Early Bird rate and am willing to do a deal. Does anybody know of anyone who wants a ticket? Email me at [email protected]. Gem xx

We definitely need to wear a 'Hi!! I'm Bloggy No Mates!!*' badge to identify each other. I could set up a little stall by the entrance and greet you with 'Hello. You don't have any friends, do you? Never mind! Here's a badge.' Halloween Wink

*Double exclamation mark necessary to sound slightly breathless and bordering on hysteria.

Yep definitely like the idea of the Bloggy No Mates badge!!

I'm coming! And I'm speaking about books and blogs and stuff. And that reminds me, I haven't done anything about trains or hotels. Oops. My blog is over at rachaellucas.com and you can find me at twitter.com/karamina when I'm supposed to be writing.

I'm looking forward to next Saturday - my first blogging conference like so many of you. I've been writing and drawing a cartoon blog for most of this year. It's all about bringing up kids from the perspective of eight women from Mission Mum and Pyjama Ma to Plummy Mummy //www.heirraising.com. Please come and say hello as I won't know a soul, although will probably recognise a few of your names from Twitter!

I don't have a blog either and will also be coming on my own. I've been thinking about starting a blog for a while and do have a few ideas but want to use Blogfest for inspiration. I do feel a bit sheepish about not having one yet but it seems a welcoming, inclusive affair Smile. It's been reassuring to see how many other people will be there on their own - I had images of myself like the new girl in school, lurking at the back....Really looking forward to it (Blogfest, not lurking, although I do like a good lurk now and then).

Haha Lord! I think those with blogs will have the blog name on their name badge thingy so we'll be able to spot other non-blog owners and pounce Grin
