We are getting pretty darn excited about the imminent approach of BlogFest on November 9, where we'll be hearing from Prof. Tanya Byron, Jon Ronson, Stella Creasy and Jo Brand - as well as some of our fantastic bloggers including Annie Spratt, Tanya Barrow, Jack Monroe, Rosie Fiore, Jax Blunt, Alison Perry, Sonya Cisco, Tanya Tirraro, Cassandra Parkin, Andrea Mann, MaggieWoodley and Gemma Regaldo-Hawkey.

This thread is for everyone who’s already coming, is thinking of coming (or wishes they were coming!) to gather, share tips and info – and generally get ready for the Big Day!

You can also join in the conversation on Twitter by following us @MumsnetBloggers. Feel free to tweet us with any questions – or, alternatively, you can email us on bloggers[at]mumsnet[dot]com.

See you on the 9th!

Brilliant Palmerston - so glad you mentioned passbook. I hadn't heard of it before but then discovered that it was on my phone! Have added ticket to it.

Is there a cloakroom? Cos its jeffin freezing out and I've got to be milling round portals of publics transport (urgh) but I'm not wanting to be carrying my big ole coat round the gaff....

Panic over.

I've just arrived in London - very excited about tomorrow! In a bit of a panic now though, because I forgot to print my ticket and I don't think I'm going to be able to print it off before tomorrow. Does anyone know if we definitely need a paper copy of it, or can I show my e-mail confirmation?

the stickers were my idea and I'm very proud of myself for it

I am so stupidly excited about this! Especially now I know I can drag more crap along with me - otherwise I'd have to bring my hideously ugly green bag as that's the only thing big enough to take all my crap (it looks like a pus ball).

I REALLY want to wear a pencil skirt, but that means heels, and I can't walk in heels. So it'll be my faithful Docs instead and what will definitely end up as laddered tights. Cardies I took two pairs of shoes to another do -flats for travelling in and err, more flats that weren't so practical when I was there.

Palmerston I'm bringing several notebooks and pens too, but no laptop. Will hammer the heck out of my phone battery though.

Hi heirraising,

There's a cloakroom at the venue where you'll be able to leave your case.

See you tomorrow!

Great idea about the badges. btw is there somewhere I can leave a wheelie overnight case in the building on Saturday? Might look a bit odd trailing it behind me to all the sessions ! Please come and say hello anyway even if I'm Mrs Bag Lady tomorrow. My blog is //www.heirraising.com Looking forward to meeting you :)

Hi all I am coming too - it will be my second blogfest - I had no idea what I was doing last year - this year I have just a little bit more.

I hope to catch up with people in person, old friends I met at previous conferences and new ones- put names and blogs to faces and all that jazz.

Looking forward to a great day - it totally surpassed my expectations last year so I anticipate it will be brilliant. V excited about Jo Brand being there too.

I blog at A Blissful Life //www.ablissfullife.co.uk and I'm @Blissful_Mama on twitter

See you tomorrow! Grin

Hi all - we thought your 'Please talk to me' badges were a fab idea, so we'll be giving out two types of sticker - one will say 'I'm new and a bit nervous', and the other says 'Happy to chat'. With a bit of luck this will break the ice and make it easier to start chatting to strange ladies Grin.

We're v excited about meeting you all on Saturday!

From my previous experience at blog conferences, you will get everything from "I've been planning this outfit for 6 months" to "I slept in this" and both will fit right in. It honestly doesn't matter. It's not like everyone will go away and post judgy stuff on the internet about what people are wearing. Oh hang on...

Report
Natalie82B · 05/11/2013 21:01

Right,I know this is a really lame question but what is everyone wearing??? This is my first blog conference and I haven't got a clue what to wear!
