It’s been a day,
Full of dismay,
The baby starts to scream,
Tearing me from my dream,
It’s six in the morn,
I’m already feeling forlorn,
It’s dark outside,
Under the covers I hide,
Then I can’t stop sneezing,
It’s not very pleasing,
The baby’s nappy smells dirty,
It’s not even six thirty,
Then my five year old son,
Come s to my bed full of fun,
I’m hungry he yells,
The baby still smells,
I can’t take much more,
So heave out of bed to the floor,
By nine I’m dead,
The kids are fed,
Then the other kid rises,
Full of surprises,
She starts playing her violin,
An unwelcome din,
Then phonics with my son,
Trying to make it fun,
Then for football in the park,
It’s cold, muddy and dark,
I queue for a coffee but the queue is too long,
Nothing much else could go wrong,
After football to the supermarket I go,
I’m still feeling low,
My five year old son slips away,
I can’t believe this day,
I’m desperately searching in vain,
My son is missing AGAIN,
In a desperate plea,
I ask the security guard to help me,
He leads me to customer service
I’m still very nervous,
Suffice to say he is found,
Safe and sound,
I could go on,
But this rhyme is getting long,
All this before midday,
What more can I say?
So I better end,
Or Ill drive you all around the bend.
