So my childhood best friend is getting married we are still close I am invited to both day and night of the wedding I don't really know any of his friends and haven't seen his mum for a few years I don't have a partner and children are banned so can't bring my DC...I have a plus 1 do you think it's okay to bring a friend who is a woman or is that not the norm should it be a man? I don't want to be sat by myself the whole time and I am totally useless at making friends with people who are already in friendship groups! 
what would you do or what have you done with your plus one invites with no partner?
