I think she's had an awful upbringing, has tried to create the family she wanted, but failed, and is still doing it.
One thing she has done, is been a parent, which the fathers of her children, have not.
One of the reasons I stuck at an only was because I was terrified of being left again, and failing to give another child a 'proper' family.
I don't regret it, it's a good thing that I just had one, but it's sad I think that I let exdp's failure as a father dictate that to me, and that I thought that we were less of a family.
