Ickiest words in English?

Unedifying silliness for a Sunday afternoon. Flicking through a Lakeland catalogue just now, I came across 'heavy-duty gusseted bags' and nearly choked on my coffee. What is it about the word 'gusset'? Am I Alone in reverting to sniggering adolescence at icky words - if not, what are your favourites?

To start you off, I give you 'moist gusset'. Top that.

Crusty - unless applied to bread, otherwise it's a coldsore

Icimoi · 22/01/2015 04:02

Cleanse. There's something horribly unctuous about it. Why say "cleanse" when "clean" means the same thing?

FluffyTheEvilOne · 24/01/2015 22:58

Another vote for moist.

I also give you: Putrid.
Not sure if it's the sound of the word or the image it conjures up, but it's hideous.
