I'd talk to Samaritans as friends would be judgy.
Id ask here.
I'd visit CAB
I might consult lawyer

But that's my knee jerk to your question and that's me. What do you think you should do? Are you accused or family member?

TheFallenNinja · 18/08/2013 19:13

For what?

bidibidi · 18/08/2013 19:23

I was reported to NSPCC who then referred me to children's services (how kind of them Hmm).

It sucks. Makes you seriously distrust everyone else you know in real life. Destroys your confidence in every aspect of parenting.

I didn't do anything but write letters about what they wanted me to do different. They couldn't say except in fuzzy terms. They never even met my child who was supposed to be at risk.

LillethTheCat · 18/08/2013 19:28

Work with them, not against them.

We had them involved with us 8 years ago and the main thing that led to us (me and DH) being deemed to be safe was the fact that we didn't argue or get mad at them, we just did as they asked even though it was killing us

Now we have 2 more DCs and not a social worker in sight.

Good luck, if you want to PM me you can.

reassuranceplease · 18/08/2013 19:45

So who involved the NSPCC? The GP surgery?

Madamecastafiore · 19/08/2013 05:54

Don't get cross.

Realise they are just doing their job and work with them to allay their fears.
