So expert mumsnetters, what would you do. By around 4-30-5pm my 16 month old dd is very tired. She's a very active child, and can't keep still. She goes to nursery 3 days a week, from 8-4. These days vary. When she's there, dd usually sleeps for 45 minutes up to an hour maximum most days she's there. Going down around midday ish. When she's at home, despite trying different times its usually bed with some milk around 10am for 1.5 hours.
Preparation for bed starts around 6pm with a bath etc. all done by daddy, then in bed by 7pm at the latest.
What I'd like to know is, do we let dd have a short nap around 4.30-5pm, and risk her going to sleep later, or move bedtime forwards. Then she's in bed earlier?
She has recently started sleeping through until 6am most nights. All since we moved house and dd got her own bedroom.
