NHS bear - lost in France - does anyone have a replacement lurking?

We think it fell out of the car at a service area en route.

It's DD's (6) lilac bear given to her by the local Minor Injuries Unit a couple of years ago. It's a pretty nondescript bear, lilac body, brown paws and I think it might say it is from the Rotary or the Lions for the NHS...

It was in our 'try and lose' toy bag until a couple of months ago when it was found and (re)loved (it was only loved for 24 hours the first time around). I'm thinking that as we didn't think it was anything special perhaps someone else might be looking to offload their kindly given but unwanted bear too.

I would be really grateful if someone has one. DD through tears tonight said that she is going to have to hurt herself to get another one Sad.

The dds have one each, one pink and one purple. Having dug them out they are now pretending to be distraught, but by tomorrow they'll be fine

Would either be any good?

thirddegree · 12/08/2013 13:15

Just the purple one would be amazing - thank you! We are being bad parents and have said he is off on his travels... Could I ask you to take a photo please? If it's not the same, DD will know and then your generosity will be in vain.

If you could message me, I can arrange payment and address details. Many thanks Flowers

Do you mean the masonic bears? Don't be fooled into thinking they are from the NHS!

We have 5, including a purple, but we (and the bears) are in Malaysia...

I haven't been here for a while but I don't think your profile is public. Other names I can click to find out more about them but not yours.

they're donated by the masons if you really can't get hold of one you could try and contact your local masons group and see if you can have one...

Loopla I know they're not from the NHS but I'm guessing that the hospital is the only place we can get one. They have changed hence my request. DS got one the other day (hence the rediscovered love by DD for hers) and his is different.

Now? I've noticed recently that lots of people are struggling to do this

ReadyisKnitting · 12/08/2013 16:20

ok, try this...

Sorry, I should have said that I'm Broomsticks' alter ego Smile

Thanks Broomsticks. I've looked at the picture but I think this is the new one. Other DD has the same as the lost one at home and DS's new one is here with us. Yours looks like DS's.

Such a shame as it could have worked so beautifully. I'll double check when we get home (at the end of the month) but I don't think it's the same.
