I'm catching up after my holiday and pointing the way to a host of free e-books (today only) and massive prize draw (open until Friday).

Hello everyone!

It has been ages since I posted a blog post on this. I have had a blogging break for a bit, then came back with a vengeance in the past week or so.

Made a coronation chickpea sandwich today- in my quest to eat a more vegetarian diet.

Off to read sally Jenkins and gardeningmum's blogs.

Egusta · 13/08/2013 13:34

And Suffolk's post also!

Like many parents, I get copious amounts of art and craft home from the daycare on a weekly basis. My strategy is usually to look at them and then recycle in a bin where they will not see it and be upset. However, occasionally there is a drawing that really makes me smile and I keep it. This one not only made me smile but I deemed it blogworthy as it follows on from my previous post about camping and illustrates it beautifully

"Story of Mum: Mums making an exhibition of ourselves" is a touring programme of exhibitions and events in galleries and online that aims to put mothers in the spotlight.

It was my turn to host the exhibition on my blog...I loved the process and hope that I have created a positive blog post about the decisions we make every single day as parents.

Hi everyone! Two months ago, I turned 37, and it took me 2 months to write this post: 37 things to love about life, now I'm 37. Please check it out, as it was a labour of love! I'll make sure I check all yours out xx

alexpolistigers · 15/08/2013 15:46

My latest is about the expression Chip off the old block

ExpressionConfession I will be turning 37 next year, and I enjoyed your post. It made me reflect on what my own list might be

alexpolistigers · 15/08/2013 15:55

Egusta your chickpea recipe looks great!

cjfriess · 15/08/2013 16:17

If you have a little one starting school I recommend reading Tom and Small with your child, it's a lovely picture book about Tom's night time adventure before his first day at school.

I'm new to the network, hi everyone!

I've written several posts this week but this is the latest: our baby-led weaning experiences.

Egusta · 16/08/2013 08:53

Thanks alex it was actually really tasty! Better the next day of course, and I finished it off yesterday spread on hot melba toast. Mmmm.

Another recipe today... banana and almond pancakes that are wholly vegan, so cholesterol-free, and were scrumptious.

fabulous ideas, Egusta! I love your blog, just been looking through it!

I am actually really proud of my blog post for today on peace and its distant cousins!

Egusta · 16/08/2013 13:20

Thank you so much! I have just been ambling through yours too. I love language, and I love knowing where sayings have come from, so it suits me right down to the ground!

DH is back tonight but I know he will love your blog also- it is right up his street.

:)

Life and stuff have been getting in the way of blogging recently, but I've got a couple of recent posts including one on Checkmate: Conclusion of the Lymond Saga by Dorothy Dunnett.

mumsdotravel · 17/08/2013 13:34

I'm getting back to everyday life after a family trip to Orlando. Here's my post about getting lost in Disney World (it's off the map, apparently) together with a Linky for you to share your family days out:
